How long does each session last?
Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes long, but I also offer 25 minute “tune up” sessions (you’d be surprised how much we can get done in 25 minutes!) as well as longer, more intensive sessions for more progress. I am open to considering and collaborating with differing needs, so we can figure that out together!
How often would we meet?
That’s up to you and your needs! We can meet as often as weekly, bi-weekly, and eventually monthly check-ins to ensure your tools are continuing to work for you as life goes on. We can determine your preference and level of need during consultation.
What is the cost? Do you take insurance?
I accept Aetna, Anthem BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Optum, United, Oscar, Oxford, and MedBen.
I also accept out of network and private pay clients! Out of Network session rates vary based on type of service from $145 for the 50 minute initial intake session, $125 for an individual 50 minute session, $70 for 25 minute individual session. I can also offer longer, more intensive sessions to make more effective, quicker progress, and we can work out the price together, based on your needs. If your insurance company accepts out of network providers you could be refunded with a Superbill that I can provide for you. I also accept payment through health savings accounts.
Check out my partnered company, http://www.mentaya.com to see options of streamlined reimbursement for sessions using your out of network benefits!
What are the benefits of private pay and not using insurance?
There are several benefits of Out of Network private pay including privacy, as mental health treatment can become part of a permanent health record when insurance is used to offset costs. Insurance will often dictate the course of treatment based on diagnosis and what insurance requires may not be the most helpful course for you! When insurance is not used, no diagnosis is formally required nor are there any limits to time and creative approaches to services.
How do I know if this is right for me?
I offer free 15 minute consulting sessions so we can determine exactly that! Feel free to reach out to schedule one.
